Stacking the Shelves #6

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by  Tynga's Reviews! This meme showcases the books received, bought, or checked out from the library over the past week.

My local used book store is a place of mystical and fantastic wonders. There's a bin right next to the front door chockfull of free books for anyone's taking, and I was able to find a copy of Anna and the French Kiss and Lock and Key in hard cover. Granted, Anna didn't have a cover slip and I own it already in paperback, and I don't really like Sarah Dessen, but THEY WERE FREE GUYS. I really hit the jack pot. Also, the other three hardcovers I got were only $5 each, and they were in almost perfect condition! I'm in love with that bookstore.

Bought:
  • Lord of the Flies by William Golding
  • Something Like Fate by Susane Colasanti
  • Jane by April Lindner
  • Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Found in a bin of free books:
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  • Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen

  8. Holy cow, that's awesome that you were able to get those two books for free!!! I have read Jane before, and I thought it was good. It's a modern day retelling of Jane Eyre. I definitely liked it, and I hope you do too. I wish I had a bookstore like that near me.

    Happy reading :)
